KARARCHI: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh has announced the start of their’Go Nawaz Go’ campaign from April 23, 2017. Protest sit-ins will be held in every district head quarter of Sindh province and a large protest will be organized in Karachi on April 26th.
This was announced by
PPP Sindh president Nisar Ahmed Khuhro at a
press conference in the Sindh Assembly on Friday.
“Until Na
waz Sharif will not tender his resignation, the scope of our protest will be extended to Tahsil level” Nisar Khuhro asserted.
Criticizing the decision of the apex court,
PPP Sindh president was hopeful that the Panama case decision would bring about a change but unfortunately, af
ter a year long wait, the decision has brought nothing.
He stated that the people of Pakistan are disappointed after the ju
diciary’s decision – during the hearings, the prime minister did not appear before the judges. “These same courts dismissed the government of Shaheed Benazir Bhuto, but relief has been given to Na
waz Sharif . Our demand is that Na
waz Sharif must resign and face these allegations”. Khuhro believed the ju
diciary should have ordered the election commission to disqualify Na
waz Sharif. He affirmed, “now we will
pressurize Na
waz Sharif to resign”.
